Appointments are preferred but not essential and each appointment is for one patient only.
Please notify the receptionist if you would like to book a long appointment or if the appointment is for another patient or family member. Sometimes delays can occur due to emergencies and other circumstances beyond our control but we do our best to minimize your waiting time.
In case If you are unable to attend your appointment, please notify the clinic to cancel so that appointment can be rescheduled.
Home visits
Home visits are covered by our doctors for regular patients of the clinic within a 5km radius of Keysborough. Please call (03) 8759-3807, if you may require a home visit. Our Doctors also visits local nursing homes if required.
After-hours care
For after-hours home visits, please call Doctor Doctor service on Ph: 132660; please notify the operator that you are a patient of Keys Medical Centre in Keysborough. After-hour services are bulk billed for valid Medicare cardholders.
Telephoning your doctor
Doctors in this practice may be contacted by phone during normal surgery hours. If the doctor is with a patient, a message will be taken and your call will be returned as soon as possible. If your call is urgent, you will always be put straight through to the doctor.
Prescription
Prescriptions may be written during a consultation. If you need repeat prescriptions, we ask that you make an appointment to see one of our doctors, where the condition for which the prescriptions are written can be checked.
Referrals
Referrals to a specialist may be made during the consultation. Standard referrals are valid for one year so please ensure you book an appointment before your referral runs out.
Reminder system
Our practice is committed to preventative care. You will receive reminder notices for health care services appropriate to your care. If you do not need to exercise this service, please let the doctor know.
