About Me:
Dr Shaukat Bashir is a fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP).
Dr Bashir has experience in Emergency medicine, General medicine, ICU, Obstetrics & Gynaecology and Orthopaedics. He has worked in rural and metropolitan hospitals including Monash Health, West Gippsland Health, Bendigo Health, Swan Hill District Health and Launceston General Hospital.
Dr Bashir enjoys all areas of general practice. He has a special interest and training in Dermatology and offers routine skin checks. He has experience in diagnosing skin cancers including Melanoma, BCC and SCC. He is also competent in performing all kinds of skin excisions / biopsies and minor surgical procedures including Implanon insertion/removal, suturing, incision & Drainage of abscess.
Apart from Dermatology, Dr Bashir’s other areas of interest include Mental health, Adolescent health, Sexual Health, Women’s Health, Men’s Health, Preventative Health, and chronic disease management.
